A stay on a houseboat in Srinagar is an experience in itself. The beautiful, large and spacious boats date back from the time of the British in this place. Since they weren’t allowed to purchase land, they built their homes on the waters of the Dal and Nigeen Lake. The Nigeen Lake borders the Dal Lake, but is more peaceful. Houseboats are completely wooden, usually including the furniture, and are often decorated with beautiful carvings. From the front porch one can enjoy the view of the lake and mountains around. Lean back and relax, grab a cup of tea and enjoy!

Day 1 - Arrival in Srinagar
When you have arrived at Srinagar International Airport you will be picked up by a taxi and taken to your houseboat. For the last little section you will need to take a boat.
After you have checked-in and made yourself comfortable in your room, a welcome drink is served.
In the evening dinner awaits you in the houseboat’s dining room or weather permitting on the roof.
Day 2 - Enjoy the lake
After a good night’s rest, breakfast will be served either into your room or dining room.
You can live for the moment, read a book, or just enjoy and observe “life on a lake”.
Early afternoon you may take your lunch and, later in the day, enjoy a relaxing Shikara-Boat-Ride on Dal Lake’s less busy parts where you can experience tranquility from a total different angle: lean back, let the world pass by…
In the evening enjoy a candlelight dinner either inside the dining room or weather permitting up on the houseboat’s roof.
Day 3 - Farewell to Srinagar
Breakfast will be served again whenever you’re ready.
Enjoy the rest of the morning or go with a Shikara to a nearby Badam Wari park for a little walk amidst almond trees.
Upon your return lunch will be served at the houseboat.
In the afternoon your taxi will take you back to Srinagar International Airport.
