Kashmir – Honeymoon Package – Budget

You arrive at Srinagar (International Airport) in the morning.
A taxi will pick you up and take you to Gulmarg.

At the hotel you will receive a welcome drink and a little snack.

After your hotel check-in you may stretch your legs or discover Gulmarg a little bit by foot, pony or even ATV.

We hope you have had a good sleep and are ready to strengthen yourself with a good breakfast: served into your room.

Whenever you’re ready, honey, let’s start our big climb.

Activities for today:

Depending on your (marriage) fitness :), you may choose to …

… not to hike at all and enjoy a two way Gondola ride from Gulmarg to Kangdori (Phase 1) and return or

… hike up together from Gulmarg to Kangdori (Phase 1), then take the second Gondola from Kangdori to Apharwat (Phase 2) and return, and hike then downhill again from Kangdori (Phase 1) to Gulmarg.

Your hotel will provide you a two way Gondala ticket before you start your hike – please remind them beforehand.

After a day of fresh air – if the weather is good and cloudless, we recommend to step out into the dark after your dinner to witness the stunning starry sky!

After perhaps a longer sleep, your breakfast will be served again and you can slowly get ready for your next trip to Srinagar.

A taxi will pick you up at your hotel in Gulmarg and take you to your houseboat on Srinagar’s Nigeen Lake or to your guest house – whatever you have chosen beforehand.

Suggested sights to visit for the day:

• Shalimar Bagh
• Nishat Bagh
• Chashme Shahi
• Pari Mahal

Your personal taxi will drop you at whichever sight in Srinagar you want to visit.

As evening comes nearer get ready to return to your accommodation for a delicious dinner. We wish you an enjoyable evening and a good night’s rest.

For breakfast we recommend to try the tasty fresh baked lavaas or girda, a “must try” while in Kashmir.

After a comfortable breakfast in your room, you may get ready for the day.

You will be picked up by your taxi which again will drop you at Srinagar’s most attractive sights.

Suggested sights/activities for today:

• Jamia Masjid*
• Hari Parbat
• Hazratbal Shrine*
• Shikara Boat Roundtrip (1h) on Dal Lake

(* you may choose to replace these sights with others such as  Shankaracharya temple or Shri Chakreshwari, or a shopping tour or visit to Srinagar’s town center around Lal Chowk etc.)

Please feel free to stop in between for lunch whenever you want.

After visiting the sights request your taxi to take you back to your houseboat/hotel: enjoy your dinner and sleep well!

After breakfast your personal taxi will take you on a longer journey to Pahalgam, your last honeymoon destination.

On the way you pass …

• The Saffron fields near Pampore
• Anantanag
• Sun temple called “Martand” (6km after Anantanag)
• Lidder river valley

At the hotel you will receive a welcome drink and a little snack.

If you have not had lunch yet, get ready for it in order to start your “Bollywood-Honeymoon-Trip”! Your personal taxi will take you to the following sights:

• Chandanwadi (family valley) with suggested activities like walking and hiking, riding a sledge (seasonal), pony riding
• Betaab Valley (famous for Bollywood films) with activities like zip-wire, park visit, walking and hiking

After such a long day with extensive travels – you definitely deserve a good night‘s honeymoon rest, and of course a delicious dinner!

Depending on the season: 1 hour pony or sledge trip

Enjoy a longer sleep and extensive breakfast before you head out toward Aru which is about 30 minutes distant from Pahalgam by taxi. After your honeymoon breakfast served into your room, you will be taken by taxi to the small village Aru.

Either in Pahalgam or Aru you can get also lunch or get something to take along with you.

Your taxi driver will then arrange a pony or sledge with guide for each of you to take you for a 1 hour ride.

Of course, if there is plenty of time left, we suggest you to stroll around at this beautiful place or have a cup of tea at one of the locals shops or even at a nearby guest house.

Once you’re ready to return, contact your driver who will take you back to your hotel in Pahalgam for a delicious dinner.
