Day 1 - Srinagar to Pahalgam
You arrive at Srinagar International Airport in the morning.
A taxi awaits you at the airport to bring you to the region of valleys in Pahalgam (2200m), which is famous for its lush green meadows and the sheep that feed on them there during the warmer seasons. Enjoy this about three hour unhurried journey which gives a good insight into rural Kashmir amidst saffron and rice paddy fields leading to Anantnag (the city of countless springs) and alongside the idyllic Jhehlum river bed.
It may be the latter part which causes you to kindly request your driver to pause for one moment or two in order to better digest the beauty of creation you’re finding yourself in.
When you have arrived at Hotel Heevan in Pahalgam and checked-in, please make yourself comfortable in your room. Weather permitting, a welcome drink alongside your lunch is served outside the garden where you can relax and enjoy the unique outlooks of the valley.
In the evening you may choose to have your dinner outside or in the hotel’s dining room.
Day 2 - Enjoy the tranquility
After a good night’s rest, breakfast will be served either to your room, or in the dining room or garden – it’s your choice.
You can live for the moment, read a book, or just enjoy and observe the beautiful scenery.
By the way, there is plenty of fresh air up here so do take a deep breath! Lunch will be prepared according to when it is convenient for you.
If you are up for a stroll in the afternoon, or even a little hike, there are plenty of pathways to choose from to give you the time to unwind.
In the evening enjoy a candlelit dinner either inside the cozy dining room or in the hotel’s garden, weather permitting.
Day 3 - Another day to relax
Whenever you wake up, breakfast will be served.
The rest of the morning is of course also yours, so relax and take a bath in ease and comfort, which your location certainly shares.
Choose your lunch again a-la-carte … and then maybe take a nap? Weather and location permitting a deck chair outside in the garden with fresh air around you will be a source of tranquility and enjoyment.
In the afternoon we can recommend a stroll to the nearby Jhehlum river: there is something comforting and exhilarating to just sit at a safe distance from the waters edge and watch the water passing bye.
In case your stomach reminds you, you’re very welcome back at the hotel for another candle-lit dinner.
Day 4 - Pahalgam to Srinagar
After sleeping in, feel free to choose your breakfast to get a good start for the day.
You may use the morning for another stroll or continue reading your book.
Depending on the departure of your return flight, you’re welcome to stay for your return to Srinagar International Airport. Would you like to take a road opposite the river through magnificent walnut and apple tree farms? Kindly request your driver to take you that way. If you’re up for a walnut, saffron or similar to take along home – there are plenty of shops right next to the national highway after passing a town called Awantipora.
