Day 1 - Arrival in Gulmarg
You arrive at Srinagar International Airport in the morning.
A taxi awaits you at the airport to bring you to the mountainous region of Gulmarg (2600m), which is especially famous for its excellent skiing opportunities it offers in winter. Enjoy this about two hour journey which is especially charming during the last part of this trip when you enter the forest and roads wind up uphill. Have a pause on your way whenever it suits you to get a breathtaking view or shot with your camera to capture at least a little glimpse of this unique picturesque view.
After you have arrived and checked-in, please make yourself comfortable in your room at Heevan Retreat Hotel. Weather permitting, a welcome drink is served out in the garden giving you a beautiful view to surrounding peaks of Gulmarg.
In the evening you may choose to have your dinner outside or in the spacious hotel’s dining lounge. During the cooler months of the year a wood fired stove not only provides for a natural warm temperature but is also soothing to look at.
Day 2 - Enjoying the view
After a good night’s rest, breakfast will be served either into your room, dining room or garden – it’s your choice.
You can live for the moment, read a book, or just enjoy and observe the beautiful scenery.
By the way, there is plenty of fresh air up here so do take advantage and take a deep breath! Lunch will be prepared at a time to suit you.
If you are up for a stroll in the afternoon, or even a little hike, there are plenty of paths to choose from to give you the time to unwind.
In the evening enjoy a candlelight dinner either inside the cozy dining room or weather permitting in the hotel’s garden.
Day 3 - Farewell to Gulmarg
Whenever you wake up, breakfast will be served.
The rest of the morning is of course also yours; relax and bathe in ease and comfort which your location certainly shares.
Your lunch will be also chosen by you. Whenever you’re ready in the early afternoon for your return trip back home, your taxi will bring you back to Srinagar International Airport.
